Falcon Field Airport's 4th Annual Open House
Saturday, March 31, 2012
Mark your calendar and plan to join the fun on Saturday,
March 31 when the City of Mesa's Falcon Field Airport hosts its
4th Annual Open House!
The event will be held 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the
airport and Falcon Field Park, 4636 East Fighter Aces Drive
(located just north of McKellips Road between Greenfield Road
and Higley Road). Admission and parking are free!
This year's event continues the annual theme of Runways, Roads
and Rails, featuring a variety of transportation displays. It
will showcase the vital aviation and economic role of Falcon
Field and its many businesses to the Mesa community.
Plans for the Open House include static displays of helicopters,
vintage war birds, experimental aircraft and general aviation
planes. A classic car show, military vehicle display, model
railroads and a radio-control aircraft display also are planned,
in addition to displays by local businesses and schools offering
aviation education programs. Freddy the Falcon will join the
festivities, and food vendors and nostalgic music will add to
the fun!
