A wonderful climate feature is Mesa's 325 sunny days a year--more annual days of sunshine than either San Diego or Miami Beach.

The average temperature in winter is 74.4 degrees, perfect for outdoor recreation. The nearby mountains and ski resorts, however, provide for skiing and snow sports.

Mesa's climate is best described as “arid,” averaging under 8 inches of precipitation annually.
