Public input needed for development opportunities

The City of Mesa is exploring development opportunities for approximately 25 acres of City-owned land at the southwest corner of University Drive and Mesa Drive. The first step in developing proposals is to receive public input. Community meetings will be held July 19 and Aug. 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Charles K. Luster Utilities Building, 640 N. Mesa Drive.
The meetings will be designed to engage residents and developers to explore their vision and goals for 1) new residential opportunities, 2) new non-residential options, 3) creation of a pedestrian friendly streetscape, 4) public amenities and open space, and 5) how development transitions to/from existing neighborhoods, including the Wilbur Historic District
Individuals unable to attend the meetings may provide feedback by taking a four to seven minute online survey at https://www.surveylegend.com/l/5q7. Information on additional downtown efforts can be found at www.mesaaz.gov/downtowntransformation.
