Today, the City of Mesa Office of Economic Development launched the new and improved Business Districts Opportunity Maps, a visual representation of investment activity, assets and development opportunities in four of Mesa’s key employment centers: Downtown Mesa; Falcon District; Fiesta District; and Mesa Gateway Area.

The Mesa Opportunity Maps highlight key attributes that companies consider when selecting sites for relocation or expansion including large employers, detailed information about recent public and private investment, new commercial and industrial developments, cultural amenities, transportation corridors, infrastructure, higher educational institutions, special development zones, and much more.

“The Business District Opportunity Maps are an invaluable marketing tool to help brokers, developers and companies envision how their project fits in a specific area in Mesa,” Jaye O’Donnell, Assistant Economic Development Director said. “The site selection process requires extensive data and maps. We’ve combined both in a visually appealing way to quickly communicate the value proposition and tell the story of each business district.”

Each employment area has unique features that appeal to a variety of industries. For example, Fiesta District is ideal for business and financial services, corporate headquarters and back office operations, software development, education and healthcare services; while the Falcon District is anchored by aerospace, advanced manufacturing and technology companies, and is ripe for medical device manufacturing, advanced business services, and aerospace supply chain companies. Mesa Opportunity Maps also promote the development sites that are available and offer a single point of contact from the Office of Economic Development for each District.

The Business District Opportunity Maps can be found online at www.mesaaz.gov/business/economic-development/business-districts-maps.
