Volunteer Opportunity
Scanning Help Needed in Crime Lab
This is a temporary position, but it
may be needed for up to two (2) years, depending upon the number
of volunteers who assist with its duties. The Forensic
Services Unit needs help to scan backlogged case file/analyst’s
notes dating from 2002 to make them accessible to MPD’s DMS
database. As a
Forensic Services Administrative Support
Volunteer, your assistance will be greatly appreciated over
the length of this long-term project. Because this project
deals with evidence, the full background clearance (Tier 2) is
required. However, only one to two hours of training will be
needed to have you operating independently in this assignment.
Desired Skills: Basic PC familiarity is required, but
previous scanning experience is not needed.
Hours Needed: You may choose your hours
from the following options: Monday between 6:30 am and
4:30 pm; Tuesday between 6:30 am and Noon; Wednesday between
Noon and 4:30 pm; and/or Friday between 6:30 am and 4:30 pm.
