Do not proceed unless you have been contacted by a City of Mesa Human Resources Specialist and advised to begin the pre-employment process. This information is intended for use by individuals who have been offered conditional employment with the City of Mesa.
Congratulations on your conditional offer of employment with the City of Mesa! Your employment is conditional pending the City's receipt and review of all pre-employment requirements. Employment will be finalized upon the City's determination that you meet the City's hiring standards.
The City's pre-employment process consists of, at a minimum, a Department of Public Safety (DPS) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) background investigation by way of fingerprints and a five-year driving record review. Additional pre-employment requirements (i.e., drug screen, physical examination, pre-polygraph, etc.) will be completed for applicable positions.
