About Energy Resources

The City of Mesa's Energy Resources Department provides safe and reliable Electric and Gas utility services. 

Electric Utility Service

Electric utility service is provided to approximately 15,000 residential and commercial customers located within approximately 5.5 square-miles centered about and including Mesa's downtown area.

Natural Gas Utility Service

Natural gas service is provided to more than 54,000 homes and businesses within the City service area of approximately 90 square miles located in the City limits; and the Magma service area, a 236 square-mile certificated system located southeast of the City in Pinal County, Arizona.

City of Mesa Electric Customer Solar Pilot Program!

Mesa's Energy Resources Department is launching a new one-year solar pilot program that will provide up to $100,000 in incentives to qualified residents and business owners in its electric service area who install a solar photovoltaic (P.V.) system. Since funding is limited, participants who qualify for the program will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. The program will run from July 2012 through June of 2013.
