Approved List of Wastewater Manhole Corrosion Protective
Coating

The products
on the City of Mesas approved list of wastewater manhole
corrosion protective coating systems are as follows (with
one list for new manholes and a separate list for existing
manholes). Please also note the applicator experience and
certification requirements noted at the end of this
document:
APPROVED CORROSION PROTECTIVE COATING
SYSTEMS FOR NEW MANHOLES:
1. Sauereisen Sewergard Lining No. 210 as
manufactured by Sauereisen Cements, Pittsburgh, PA.
2. Sewer Shield 150 Epoxy Lining as
manufactured by Environmental Coatings, Mesa, AZ.
3. Raven 405 Epoxy Lining as manufactured by
Raven Lining Systems, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
4. COR+GARD 100% solids, high-build epoxy
lining as manufactured by Action Products Marketing (AP/M)
of Johnston, IA.
5. Novocoat Superior Environmental
Products SL-100 (trowel on) or Superior Products SP-2000R
(spray on) as manufactured by Novocoat, Addison Texas.
6. Neopoxy NPR 5300 Series Epoxy Lining by
Neopoxy International, Hayward, CA.
APPROVED CORROSION PROTECTIVE COATING
SYSTEMS FOR EXISTING MANHOLES:
1. Sauereisen Sewergard Lining No. 210 with
Sauereisen Underlayment No. F-121, as manufactured by
Sauereisen Cements, Pittsburgh, PA.
2. Sewer Shield 150 Epoxy Lining with C120
calcium aluminate cement underlayment as manufactured by
Environmental Coatings, Mesa, AZ.
3. Raven 405 Epoxy Lining with calcium
aluminate cement underlayment, as manufactured by Raven
Lining Systems, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
4. COR+GARD 100% solids, high-build epoxy
lining with PERMACAST MS-10,000 underlayment. The PERMACAST
MS-10,000 underlayment shall have ConShield liquid
antimicrobial admixture added to it. The amount of ConShield
admixture shall be 11 fluid ounces per 50 pounds (dry
weight) of PERMACAST MS-10,000. The ConShield shall be as
manufactured by ConShield Technologies, Inc. of Atlanta,
Georgia. COR+GARD and PERMACAST MS-10,000 shall be as
manufactured by Action Products Marketing (AP/M) of
Johnston, IA.
5. Novocoat Superior Environmental
Products SL-100 (trowel on) or Superior Products SP-2000R
(spray on) with Tnemec mortar clad as the underlayment as
manufactured by Novocoat, Addison Texas.
6. Neopoxy NPR 5300 Series Epoxy Lining, by
Neopoxy International, Hayward, CA with calcium aluminate
cement underlayment, by A.W. Cook, Atlanta GA.
For both new and existing wastewater
manholes, the applicator of the corrosion protective coating
is required to have a minimum of three years of experience
coating wastewater manholes. The City Inspector may request
written verification of said experience at any time. The
applicator shall have written verification from the
manufacturer of the corrosion protective coating system that
is being applied that said applicator is an approved,
certified applicator of the manufacturers products. The
City Inspector may request said written documentation at any
time. Application shall be done in accordance with the City
of Mesas specifications on file.
