The City of Mesa has awarded this project to
Talis Construction Corporation.
Project is complete
Construction on this project began the end of July 2012 and is
estimated to be completed end of March 2013.
This project will construct a 10-foot wide multi-use
concrete pathway and signage along the east side of the
Consolidated Canal from existing multi-use pathway at Lindsay
Road to Baseline Road. It will include a monument sign at the
Baseline Road multi-use pathway access that will connect with
the Town of Gilbert's existing multi-use path. Three seat walls
and landscaping will provide a pleasant entry experience as
users access the southern boundary off the pathway from the Town
of Gilbert. Complete signalized pedestrian crossings will be
provided at Lindsay Road and Southern Avenue to insure
pedestrian safety as they walk the crossings.
The recommended total award amount
for this project is $1,105,961.66, based on the lowest bid of
$1,005,419.69 plus an additional $100,541.97 (10% allowance for
change orders). This project is fully funded with a
federal grant from CMAQ.
