Complete List of Mesa Lane Restrictions and Closures

The week of February 8, 2010 the following roads will be under construction in the City of Mesa. Printable Report (.pdf), Special Closures, and ADOT Restrictions

1st Avenue:

  • The sidewalk on the north side of 1st Ave between Mesa Drive and Hibbert will be closed until approximately January 2010, as the contractor is building the new court building. More Information

Country Club Drive:

  • Expect southbound curb lane restrictions on Country Club Drive from Baseline Road to McKellips Road from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for fiber optic installation. More Information

  • Expect southbound lane restrictions on Country Club Drive from 1st Street to 6th Street. There will be no left turns allowed as the contractor begins paving.

Dobson Road:

Ellsworth Road:

  • Expect north and southbound lane restrictions at the intersection of Ellsworth Road and Elliot Road for installation of a sewer line at the new Mesa Commerce Center.
  • Expect lane restrictions on Ellsworth Road from Elliot Road to Pecos Road for road improvements. More Information

Greenfield Road:

  • Greenfield Road will be restricted to one lane in each direction from Southern Avenue to Baseline Road until June, 2010 for roadway improvements Greenfield Road Improvements. Beginning Thursday, February 4, no left turns will be allowed on Greenfield Road from the US60 Freeway eastbound off ramp to Baseline Road.

  • Expect southbound lane restrictions on Greenfield Road at Hermosa Vista Drive from the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. This will allow the contractor to rehabilitate a manhole. 

Horne:

  • Expect lane restrictions at the intersection of Horne and Fountain Street. Kleven Construction will be replacing cables for SRP.

Iron Avenue:

  • Expect east and westbound lane restrictions on Iron Avenue west of Country Club Drive until the end of February, 2010 for gas line and storm drain installation.

Main Street:

  • Expect lane restrictions on Main Street west of Power Road from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a water line replacement.

McKellips Road:

  • McKellips Road will be closed at Alma School Road, due to SRP releasing small amounts of snow melt from the mountains. McKellips Road will reopen approximately by mid April 2010. 

Power Road:

  • Expect southbound curb lane restrictions on Power Road 300'  south of Main Street for a water line replacement.

  • Expect northbound lane restrictions on Power Road from Southern Avenue to Broadway Road for asphalt repairs.

  • Expect northbound lane restrictions at the intersection of Power Road and Main Street for water line improvements.

Sossaman Road:

  • Expect north and southbound lane restrictions on Sossaman Road from Baseline Road to the US60 Freeway from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This will allow the contractor to replace a water line.

University Drive:

  • Expect westbound curb lane restrictions on University Drive at 22nd Place. Pauley Construction will be relocating utilities for Qwest.

  • Beginning January 4th, 2010, to May 2010, a contractor for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation will be upgrading the traffic signals at the following intersections: University Drive and 56th Street, University Drive and Recker Road, and University Drive and 64th Street.   • Expect eastbound curb lane restrictions on University Drive from Country Club Drive to Center Street. Kleven Construction will be installing new underground conduit and fiber optic cables. More Information

  • Expect east and westbound lane restrictions on University Drive from Country Club Drive to Extension. No left turns will be allowed as the contractor begins paving.
