Complete List of Mesa Lane Restrictions and Closures

The week of July 6, 2009, the following roads will be under construction in the City of Mesa. Printable Report (.pdf), Special Closures, and ADOT Restrictions

 

1st Avenue:

  • The sidewalk on the north side of 1st Ave between Mesa Drive and Hibbert will be closed to approximately August 2009, as the contractor is building the new court building.  More Information

1st Street:

  • 1st Street will be closed (opened to local traffic only) from Country Club Drive to Date Street for the installation of a water line and sewer line. More Information

Adobe Street:

  • Expect east and westbound lane restrictions on Adobe Street from Sunvalley Boulevard to 80th Street. City crews will be applying a fog seal to the streets.

Baseline Road:

  • Expect westbound lane restrictions on Baseline Road from Power Road to Greenfield Road.  Town of Gilbert will be widening the road.  More Information

Broadway Road:

  • Expect lane restrictions on Broadway Road from Power Road to 72nd Street for the replacement of water lines in Apache Country Club Estates.  More Information

Brown Road:

  • Expect lane restrictions on Brown Road between Power Road and 80th Street on Monday, July 6th to Wednesday, July 8th. City crews will be applying a fog seal to the streets.

Center Street:

  • Expect lane restrictions on Center Street at 9th Place as the contractor begins trenching for the water and gas line replacement. More Information

Ellsworth Road:

  • Expect lane restrictions in all directions at the intersection of Ellsworth Road and Elliot Road for a sewer line installation to the new Mesa Commerce Center.

Gilbert Road:

  • Gilbert Road will be restricted to one lane in each direction from north of Thomas Road to State Route 87 (Beeline Highway) due to flooding.  Traffic has been shifted to the southbound lanes over the bridge.  For more information about the restrictions on Gilbert Road please contact MCDOT - Public Relations at (602) 506-8003.

Main Street:

  • Expect lane restrictions on the southeast corner of Main Street and Alma School Road and intermittent lane restrictions on westbound Main Street. More Information
  • Expect lane restrictions on the southeast corner of Main Street and Greenfield Road and intermittent lane restrictions eastbound on Main Street.  More Information
  • Expect lane restrictions on the northeast corner of Main Street and Higley Road and intermittent lane restrictions on westbound Main Street.  More Information
  • Expect lane restrictions on the southeast corner of Main Street and Lindsay Road and intermittent lane restrictions on eastbound Main Street.  More information
  • Expect intermittent lane restrictions westbound on Main Street at Power Road.  More Information
  • Expect eastbound lane restrictions at the southeast corner of Main Street at Recker Road.  More Information

McDowell Road:

  • McDowell Road between 76th Street and Ridgecrest is restricted to one lane in each direction. The speed limit has been temporarily reduced to 15 mph in the work zone area. Left turns are currently maintained at both Ridgecrest and 76th Street.
  • Expect lateral closures on McDowell Road between 78th Street and 84th Street (weekends only). See attached Project Closure Flyer for more information about the closure dates and limits. 

Mesa Drive:

  • Expect northbound curb lane restrictions Wednesday, July 1st, to Thursday, July 2nd, on Mesa Drive from 6th Street to 8th Street for sidewalk repair.

Pasadena:

  • Expect lane restrictions June 22nd, to August 31, on Pasadena at McKellips Road. SRP will be replacing cables in the area.

Power Road:

  • Expect lane restrictions on the northeast and northwest corners of Power Road and Baywood Avenue for the installation of bus shelters.  More Information

Southern Avenue:

  • Expect east and westbound lane restrictions on Southern Avenue and 96th Street for approximately three months (August 2009) for storm drain and street improvements.

University Drive:

  • Expect eastbound and westbound lane restrictions on University Drive from Stapley Drive to Horne.  This will allow the contractor to remove and install new electrical poles.  More Information
