Car Seat Safety Program

Approximately 90% of the car seats inspected by our technicians are installed improperly.  To assist parents we educate and guide parents through the correct installation of their child safety seat.

  • Mesa Fire and Medical Department does not provide free car seats.

  • City of Mesa Fire Stations DO NOT have car seat technicians available to assist with car seat installations. Please call to schedule an appointment 480-644-2200.

  • Car seat installation appointments are only scheduled for the following days and times:
    • Tuesdays from 8:00am - 10:30am
    • Thursdays from 1:30pm - 4:30pm.

  • Seats are inspected for Mesa residents by appointment
  • Due to the high volume of requests and limited number of technicians we ask that you call approximately 3 months prior to your due date.  At times we are booking appointments one month out, so calling ahead is encouraged!

  • We ask that you clean your vehicle and the car seat prior to arriving for your scheduled appointment.  Our technicians cannot do their job effectively if they have restricted access in your vehicle.

  • If you or your child are sick as a courtesy we request that you cancel your appointment.

  • Please call 480-644-2200 to set-up an appointment.

If you are not a Mesa resident please view the list of other valley locations to find a site near you.
