Options Overview
- Option One
- the employee’s start date (enrollment form and
verification documentation if applicable, are due in the
Employee Benefits Office at least three business days prior
to the hire date for this option to be activated or
- Option Two
- the first of the month following or coincident to one full
month of employment. This is the City's
default option.
Non-Core BenefitsNON-CORE Benefits represent your voluntary
short-term disability, voluntary
supplemental life,
long- term disability and
Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage.

Deferred Compensation - 457 (b) Plan (Optional)
As a full-time employee, you are eligible to participate in
the City's Deferred Compensation Program. Enrollment
into this program can be done at any time during your career
with the City, including your first day of employment.
