Mesa Takes Flight

The City of Mesa celebrates Arizona's Centennial with a year-long exploration of flight. From the breathtaking beauty of flying animals to the ingenuity and progress of aircraft, flight has long captivated the human imagination. Flight is an integral part of Mesa's heritage and its economic base today.

During the coming year we celebrate flight and the concept of flight

...of escape from gravity to new places and new worlds

...of our nation's heritage as a place for the flight to freedom

...of progress, innovation, and the joy of the flight of our imagination.
