for Mesa residents and April 23 for non-residents.
There will be no
programs July 4.
My First Camp-New
Ages:
Preschoolers 3-4 years of age.
Cost: $25/$30 per one-week session. Fee assistance
available.
Time: Monday through Thursday, 9:30am-12:00pm. Dates:
June 4 through July
16.
Sites: Emerson, Zaharis and Bush
A variety of activities designed to keep your child's interes
and expose him/her to new recreation activities.
Programming includes music, tumbling crafts and group games. Participants
should bring a non-perishable snack.
Children must be able to toilet themselves, no pull-ups.

Summer Adventure Program
Ages: Children entering 1st-7th grade
of 2012-13 school year.
Sites: Rhodes Junior High and Franklin South Elementary
Cost: $100 per one-week session, no fee assistance available.
Time: Monday through Friday, 7:00am
-6:00pm.
Dates: Weekly starting May 29 through July 20.
This all-day summer program offers a variety of recreational and
educational opportunities
including games, crafts, guest speakers, special events, weekly
field trips, movie and more.
Participants will swim daily at a pool walking distance away.
Kids will be broken into
appropriate age groups. Participants need to bring their
own lunch and two snacks daily.

Boredom Busters Program
Ages: Children entering 1st-6th grade
of 2011-12 school year.
Sites: Bush, Zaharis, Boulder Creek, Johnson
and Rhodes
Cost: $50/$60 per 2-week session, fee assistance
available.
Time: 1:00-5:30pm
Dates: First session, May 29-June 7. Second
session, June 11-June 21. Third session, June 25-July 5.
Fourth session, July 9-July 19
A Monday through Thursday program where registrants will
participate in activities that include
crafts, games, PE skills, guest speakers, movies, theme events
and swimming once a week. Program may be outside for a
determined length of time. Children must function in a
1:20 ration and be in a large group setting for an extended
length of time. Participants should bring a non-perishable
snack.

Fit Kids Kamp
sponsored with Cardon Children's Medical Center
Ages: 9 to 12 years.
Site: Emerson Elementary, Franklin Northeast
Cost: $35/$42 for a six-week program, Monday through
Thursday.
Time:
1:00-5:30pm.
Dates: June 4 through July 12.
This summer fitness program is devoted to educating youth about
the importance of healthy living. Participants will learn
about nutrition and physical fitness through special speakers,
recreational activities and field trips. Parents of
participants are required to attend 3 meetings to educate the
falily on healthy lifestyles. Required first parent meeting May
30 , 5:30 at Cardon Children's Medical Center.

Teen Leadership Training
TheTeen Leadership Training TLT program trains teens with hands on training for
future employment by having them help out at our various summer
camp. This program partners with Mesa Public Schools Service
Learning Program where students may use program hours for the service learning
program. Participants must be entering 8th-12th
grade for the 2012-13 school year. Please call
480-644-4345 for more information. Participants must
register with payment of $35/$42 and complete TLT
Intereset Application to
participate in program. Participant will be notified by
Parks staff upon selection.

available.
Time: 1:00-5:30pm
Dates: First session, May 29-through June 7.
Second session, June 11-June 21. Third session, June

A Monday through Thursday program where registrants will
participate in sport activities through individual and team
games.

REC 'N CREW-New for
tweens
Site: Meet at Shepherd Junior High for drop
off and pick up.
Cost: $40/$42 for weekly field trip.
Time:
9:30am-5:30pm
Dates: June 8-Phoenix Zoo and Polar Ice
June 15-Arizona Science Center and
Swim at Shepherd
June 22-Skateland and TBD
June 29-Big Surf all day
July 13-Laser Quest and Rock Wall Gym
July 20-TBD
Crew members will travel around visiting a variety of recreation
hot spots designed for youth entering 7th-9th grades.
Lunch included.
