Water Exercise Schedule
BSA Swimming and Lifesaving Merit Badge Class
Beginning Diving - Summer Only
In this class the foundations of proper springboard diving are taught.
Safety, diving board approach and hurdle, water entry and basic competitive
dives are covered. Participants must be 6 years of age and must be able to
swim comfortably in deep water for enrollment. Compare to American Red
Cross Level 6 Fundamentals of Diving
Intermediate Diving - Summer Only
In intermediate diving our instructors follow a plan to introduce new diving
skills and build on ones previously learned. The expectations for this class
are higher in regards to diving skill and ability. This class emphasizes
developing more advanced dives such as flips, inwards, as well as pike and
straight dives, and improving fundamentals. Participants must be able to
perform both front and back dive correctly and with correct approaches.
Participants must be at least 6 years old.
Water Exercise - Summer Only
In this fun filled fitness class instructors use exercise in the water to
tone and strengthen muscles, relieve tension and stress and improve range of
motion . Classes may include circuit training, deep water exercise, water
walking, and resistance work in addition to general water aerobics. Class is
geared for adults and teens.
