Public Safety 911 Operators receive and evaluate calls
from the public concerning crimes, fires and medical
emergencies. The Mesa Police Communications Center serves over
680,000 citizens in the Mesa, Gilbert and Apache Junction area.
The service covers approximately 260 square miles. Over 1.4
million phone calls are handled annuall. Promotiona
opportunities to Public Safety Dispatcher are also available.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graudation from high school or GED.
- One to three years experience in public contact or
customer service experience.
- Certification of a typing speed of at least 35 net words
per minute.
Base Pay:
- $35,131.20 to $47,424.00
- $16.89 to $22.80 per hour.
Does not include shift differential or holiday
pay.
