Mesa Police Seek Assistance In Identifying Robber

The
Mesa Police Department is requesting assistance to identify a
male who robbed a local pharmacy in Mesa.
On October 18, 2008 at approximately 10:30 a.m., a white male
entered the CVS Pharmacy at 2809 S. Sossaman Road carrying a
brown paper bag. The unknown white male walked over to the
pharmacy counter and handed a note to the pharmacist that stated
in the bag was a bomb and he wanted Oxycontin and Oxycodone. The
pharmacist complied with the suspect's demands and placed the
prescription drugs inside a plastic bag. The suspect exited the
store and was seen running southbound on Sossaman Road. The Mesa
Police Bomb Squad responded to the scene and determined the
.ce placed inside the bag by the suspect was a hoax. No one
was injured in the incident.
The suspect is described as:
A white male appearing to be 6 feet tall, approximately 200
pounds, slim build with brown hair. He was seen wearing a dark
colored bandana, sunglasses and a black jacket with skulls.
