Public Assistance Needed To Locate Commercial Burglar
March 19, 2008
Everyday, businesses, residences and vehicles are broken into,
resulting in various precious items being stolen. In most cases
the incident is reported to the police without a name of a
possible suspect. Being burglarized can be a traumatic and
frustrating experience for the victim, especially if he/she does
not know who took their hard-earned items.
The case we are asking for your assistance on is a little
different, because the suspect/investigative lead has been
identified. Mesa Police investigators have been working
relentlessly to locate a serial commercial burglar by the name
of James Richard Swanson. So far Swanson has been linked to one
commercial burglary in Mesa that occurred last September;
however, he is an investigative lead for at least 37 window
removal burglaries across the Valley.
Swanson is a 42-year-old white male, with brown eyes and hair.
His hair could be shaved or grown out. He is 5'11" tall and
weighs approximately 180 pounds. Swanson also has numerous
tattoos on arms, chest and legs. A tattoo on his left arm is a
grim reaper. Swanson has victimized many individuals.
Any information that leads to the arrest of Swanson would be a
great help to not only the police, but the victims. Anyone who
has information is urged to call Mesa Police at 480-644-2211 or
Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
Update: Suspect has been arrested.
