Investigators Seek Assistance To Identify Bank Robber

The Mesa Police Department is asking for public assistance to
identify a male suspect who is responsible for a bank robbery
that occurred at the M&I Bank, 9953 E. Baseline Road in Mesa, on
April 3, 2008 at 10:05 am.
On the above mentioned date and time, the suspect entered the
M&I Bank and presented a note to the bank teller demanding
money. The suspect then simulated a weapon. The bank teller
complied with the suspect's demand and, after receiving an
undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the scene. Witnesses noticed
a white mini-van with tinted windows leaving the parking lot;
however, it is unclear if the suspect was in the vehicle.
The suspect in this case, seen below in a surveillance photo, is
described as a black male, approximately 39-40 years old, 6'
tall, 275 pounds with a large mole on his right cheek. The
possible suspect vehicle is a white compact mini-van.
