Mesa Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Robbery Suspect

The Mesa Police Department is requesting assistance in
identifying a male who has committed three robberies while
riding a motorcycle.
On three different occasions in the months of August and
September, a white male has robbed three females in a business
parking lot. In all three incidents the suspect rode his
motorcycle in the parking lot of the business, approached the
victims and, while still on the motorcycle, took their purses.
In one of the incidents, the victim was dragged a short distance
while the suspect was attempting to pull the purse away from
her.
The suspect and motorcycle are described as a white male
appearing to be in his mid-20s, short dark hair and clean
shaven. In one incident he was seen wearing a black T-shirt,
blue jeans and a black baseball cap. He rides a black
sports-style motorcycle.

On September 25, 2008, Mesa Police detectives arrested and
booked 22-year-old Ryan K. Worman for robbing three female
victims at a grocery store parking lot in East Mesa.
Worman's identity was obtained after he used one of the victim's
credit cards at an electronic store. Detectives located Worman
at his residence, arrested him and conducted an interview.
Worman admitted to using the stolen credit card at a total of
four stores. In addition, he confessed to taking the three
victim's purses on three different occasions in the parking lot
of 1915 S. Power Rd. in Mesa.
Worman was booked on one court of Robbery, two counts of Theft,
one count of theft of a Credit Card, and four counts of
Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.
