Son Admits To Killing Father

On February 6, 2008 at approximately 2:00
p.m., Mesa Police responded to 125 S. 56th Street in reference
to a possible shooting incident.
Mesa Police received a 9-1-1
call from a male, who was later identified as Hughstan
Schlicker, stating he was 15 years of age and he just "shot and
killed his father." When police arrived on scene, Hughstan was
on the telephone with police and was advised to contact officers
who were waiting outside the residence. Hughstan was taken into
custody without incident.
Furthermore, police entered the
residence and located a male who was later identified as
Theodore Schlicker, 49, father of Hughstan Schlicker. Theodore
was pronounced deceased on scene.
Mesa Police will charge
Hughstan with 1st degree murder. Detectives are actively working
this investigation. New information will be released as it
becomes available.
