Mesa Police Seek Assistance In Identifying Bank Robber

The Mesa Police Department is requesting assistance to identify
a bank robber who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank at 1954 E. McKellips
in Mesa on April 10, 2008.
A Caucasian male entered the Basha's Grocery Store on McKellips
and walked to the Wells Fargo Bank located inside the store at
approximately 12:20 pm. The male walked up to a teller window,
placed a bag on the counter and demanded cash be placed inside
the bag. The teller complied and placed an undisclosed amount of
money inside the bag. The male suspect left the store in an
unknown direction. An area search was conducted with negative
results.
The male is described as a Caucasian male appearing to be in his
late forties or fifties, weighing approximately 230 pounds, and
is between 6' to 6' 3" tall. He was wearing an orange baseball
cap, black sunglasses, white T-shirt and khaki-colored cargo
shorts.
