Mesa Police Seek Assistance In Identifying Robbery Suspect

The Mesa Police Department is currently seeking information to
identify a robbery suspect responsible for five Mesa robberies.
The first robbery occurred on Friday, February 6 at 7:00 p.m. at
the Payday Loan located at 1155 S. Power Road. The suspect
entered the business, placed a plastic bag on the counter and
displayed a knife. The suspect told the employee to give him all
of the money and the employee complied, providing the suspect
with all of the money in the register drawer. On Monday,
February 9 between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., the CVS (1151 E
McKellips), Residence Inn (941 W Grove) and the Holiday Inn
(1600 S Country Club) were robbed. In all three incidents, the
suspect entered the business, approached the counter and
displayed a knife. The suspect demanded all of the money from
the register and, in two of the incidents, the money was placed
in a bag.
On Tuesday, February 10 at 7:45 p.m., the suspect entered the
Best Western located at 1342 S Power Rd while holding a knife
and a plastic bag. The suspect approached the counter and
demanded that the employee place the money in the bag.
The suspect description provided by the victims and witnesses of
all the robberies is very similar. The actions of the suspect in
the robberies is also similar.
Suspect description: White male in his 40s, 5' 8" to 5' 10"
tall, 150 to 170 pounds, very short dirty blond hair, unshaven,
missing teeth, wearing a dark jacket, jeans and a bandana or
baseball-style cap.
