Missing Adult Located In San Diego, California After Being
Kidnapped
September 1, 2009
On August 28, 2009, the Mesa Police Department began a missing
person investigation into the disappearance of Pamela Nudo,
after she failed to show for work early that morning. Her family
and co-workers were extremely concerned for her safety, as it
was unlike Pamela not to show up for work. Our initial
investigation did not turn up anything of a suspicious nature at
Pamela's residence.
On August 31, 2009, a family member received a telephone call
from Pamela Nudo from San Diego, California. Mesa Police
investigators immediately contacted the San Diego Police
Department and sought their assistance in locating Pamela at the
Dana Mission Bay Resort. Pamela was located by San Diego PD in
good condition.
Pamela has disclosed to police she was kidnapped by an unknown
Hispanic male at gunpoint. She explained that on August 28, she
was at a local casino and had won several thousand dollars. When
she went to her residence in Mesa, the suspect pointed a gun at
her and forced her inside her home. The victim believes the
suspect may have followed her home from the casino after cashing
out her winnings. The suspect ordered her to take items,
including her money, from her home and then forced her into her
car. The suspect drove her to several locations including
Deming, NM; Safford, AZ; Tucson, AZ; and then to San Diego. The
suspect then left her in San Diego, where he left with another
unknown subject, possibly a female. Pamela was unharmed by the
suspect during this incident.
The investigation is ongoing at this time. However, at this
point in the investigation, the victim is refusing to cooperate
with detectives.
