Mesa Police Seek Assistance In Identifying Robbery Suspects

The Mesa Police Department is currently seeking information to
identify two robbery suspects responsible for robbing and
stabbing a victim.
On Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 9:00 p.m., the victim was
waiting at the bus stop located at 829 E. University. Two
suspects sat down on either side of him. Suspect #1 brandished a
knife and demanded the victim's money. The victim only had $1.80
and he gave it to the suspect. The suspects demanded more money,
but the victim did not have any more money to give them. The
victim attempted to leave on foot, but he was attacked by both
suspects. A fight ensued and the victim grabbed a wood bead
string necklace and cross from the neck of suspect #2. Suspect
#1 stabbed the victim in the back and face. The suspects ran off
when a car with two witnesses pulled up to help the victim.
Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male in his late teens, 5'
9" tall, 130 pounds, black curly hair, brown eyes, "peach fuzz"
mustache and chin growth. His right ear is pierced with a
hoop-style earring and his lower lip is pierced with a stud.
This suspect has a tattoo covering the right side of his neck
that looks like a dragon or snake in black and red ink.
Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, 6'
0" tall, 240 pounds, muscular build, short black hair, brown
