Mesa Police Seek Assistance In Identifying Bank Robbery Suspect

November 24, 2010

The Mesa Police Department is seeking information to identify a suspect responsible for a robbery committed at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 365 S. Power Road.

On November 23 at 12:24 p.m., the suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank and approached the teller, while talking on a cell phone. The suspect opened a black binder, that zips on three sides, and displayed a note demanding money. Next to the note was a short, black revolver pointed at the teller. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money from the drawer and the suspect put the money into the binder. The suspect left the bank and ran east-bound through the parking lot to an unknown location.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Native American male in his late 30s, approximately 6' tall, 150 lbs., with acne scars on his face. The suspect was wearing a black beanie, sun glasses, light colored jacket (with NAUTICA written down the left arm), blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
