Mesa Police Seek Assistance In Identifying Robbery Suspect

The Mesa Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying
a male who robbed a Walgreens pharmacy.
On Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at approximately 11:30 pm, the
suspect entered the Walgreens pharmacy, located at 1135 N. Mesa
Drive. The suspect approached the pharmacy counter, pointed a
handgun at the pharmacy clerk and demanded Morphine. The suspect
told the clerk innocent people would die if he did not comply
with his demands. The pharmacy clerk complied with the demands
and gave the suspect several bottles of Morphine. The suspect
exited the store and fled the area north to the canal on a dark
mountain bike.
The suspect is described as:
- a white male
- 50 to 60 years old
- about 5' 10" tall
- 175 to 190 pounds
- graying beard
- Last seen wearing a black velvet 'corleone' hat, black
velvet jacket, dark pants and black shoes.
