Three Arrested For First Degree Murder

The Mesa Police Department has arrested three suspects in
connection with a homicide that occurred on August 28, 2010 in
Mesa. The suspects are Carlos Gonzales (22), Sylvia Sainz (20)
and Dylan Noack (23).
On August 28, the trio went to 2940 E. Broadway to purchase
marijuana from the victim, Leovardo Ortiz (28). The drug deal
had been arranged prior to their arrival for Gonzales and Noack
to purchase the marijuana. However, when they arrived, Gonzales
and Noack pulled out handguns and shot the victim. The drugs
were taken and the suspects fled the scene.
Detectives had been following leads on the case since the night
of the incident. Today, we are pleased that we have all of the
suspects in custody.
