Mesa Police Seek Public Assistance In Identifying Homicide
June 29, 2011
Today, at approximately 1:15 am, the Mesa Police Department
received a 9-1-1 call from a male subject later identified as
Tyler Webster (18). Tyler stated that he and his friend, Olek
Wladyszewski (19), were shot by a Hispanic male in his 20s. When
officers arrived on scene, they found Wladyszewski deceased in
the driver's seat and Webster unresponsive in the passenger
seat. Webster was transported by air to a local hospital where
he later died as a result of his injuries.
The vehicle was parked facing east on the south side of
Farmdale, with the driver and front passenger windows down. The
victims, who are both residents of Mesa, do not reside in this
community and at this time it is unknown why they were parked in
the area. We are in the very early stages of the investigation
and further investigation needs to be completed prior to being
able to determine a motive.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Mesa Police
Department at 480-644-2211 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
