Pawnshop Inspections & Regulations
Inspections
All Mesa pawnshops are randomly inspected at least yearly.
The dates for the inspections are unannounced. During these
inspections, current crime trends, reporting discrepancies, law
changes, and proposed changes are discussed.
The ultimate goals of these inspections being to educate
pawnshop owners and ensure compliance with state law and local
ordinances.
Regulations
Arizona law requires all Mesa pawnshops to be licensed
pawnbrokers by Maricopa County and the City of Mesa. Some
