Fingerprint Identification Unit
 Fingerprint Identification Technicians process suspect, juvenile, and
applicant fingerprints through the Arizona Automated Fingerprint Identification
System (AZAFIS) to search against prior records in order to provide an
identification. They also perform inked print comparisons, maintain fingerprint
records, and testify in identification hearings in court.
