Volunteer Crime Scene Unit

Volunteer Crime Scene Technicians work closely with Crime Scene Technicians to assist the Crime Scene Unit.  Duties of Volunteer CSTs include: processing crime scenes such as stolen vehicle recoveries, vehicle burglaries, and non-injury/minor injury accidents; identifying, collecting, and preserving evidence including swabs for DNA, latent prints, and evidentiary items left at scenes; and photographing routine property crimes.  They also establish and maintain records and generate reports.
