Mesa Police Department Honor Guard
Unit History
The Mesa Police Department Honor Guard has
been in existence since 1990. It was formed to provide a means to represent and project
the pride and dignity the citizens of Mesa and the Police Department have in the
community. Since its inception the Honor Guard has represented the City of Mesa and the
Police Department throughout Arizona as well as the United States. It is with pride and
dedication that the Honor Guard will continue to perform at public functions in the
future.
Services
Offered
The Honor Guard attends and performs at the
following functions:
- Police and Dignitary Funerals
- Color Details - At select sporting events and public gatherings
- Parades
- Departmental Functions as directed
- Academy Graduations
Events
Attended
The Honor guard has attended numerous funerals for law enforcement officers who have
lost their lives in the line of duty. We have also performed color guard duties at
parades, public meetings, local sporting events, and major/professional sporting events
(i.e., Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, and Arizona Diamondbacks).
