Mesa police seek public assistance with homicide
investigation
On Sunday, May 3, 2009 at approximately 5:00
a.m., Mesa Police officers responded to a report of
a man down in the area of 400 W. 10th Street in
Mesa. When officers arrived, they found the victim,
36-year-old Rick Glum, down on the side of the road.
A motorist noticed Glum on the side of the road and
called police. The initial information revealed that
Glum died as a result of a stab wound. (Click on the
photo at right of Rick Glum to see larger version.)
On the morning of the incident, Glum was last
seen by a family member leaving on a bicycle a few
hours prior to being found. Detectives determined
that the incident occurred approximately once block
west of where Glum was found.
Although detectives have been working this case
for almost two months, little solid information has
been developed. Detectives are hopeful that someone
may have seen Glum in the hours prior to his death
or witnessed the incident.
