Mesa police seek assistance with homicide
investigation
Mesa Police investigators are seeking the
assistance of the community with information related
to the homicide investigation at 1045 S. San Jose,
the Village Green apartments.
Officers responded to this location Monday
morning at approximately 9:30 a.m. when the
apartment manager reported finding the body of a
deceased male resident. Investigators were told that
a friend came by the apartment this morning to use
the telephone in the victim's apartment. There was
no answer after knocking and the friend found the
door to be unlocked. When she entered the apartment
she found the victim dead inside.
The victim has been identified as 62-year-old
Donald Kennedy. Investigators believe the victim's
car is also missing from the apartment complex. That
vehicle is described as a white 2000 Mitsubishi
Mirage 4-door sedan with Arizona plate ACZ2981.
Investigators have very limited information about
this incident.
