Mesa Police Department Citizen Police Academy

Program Background

Since 1991, the Mesa Police Department's Citizen Police Academy (CPA) has provided members of our community with an inside look at law enforcement. The CPA is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the operations and resources of the Mesa Police Department. Participants will interact with police executives and veteran officers during the academy. The goal of the CPA is to provide a greater awareness and understanding of law enforcement's role in our community.
