Help Our Volunteer Coordinator

 

The Mesa Police Department's Volunteer Coordinator needs your help with the administrative functions of managing the VIPS program. As a  VIPS Administrative Assistant Volunteer you will assist with follow-up on applicant files; maintain data on each volunteer within the Applicant Tracking database and VIPS files; handle routine communication with applicants to obtain additional needed information or update them on file status; mail VIPS applications; may assist the Volunteer Coordinator with various projects, including the annual volunteer recognition banquet and other volunteer recognition activities; and basic clerical tasks as needed.

 

Desired Skills:  Must be familiar with using a personal computer and possess basic data entry skills. Must maintain strict confidentiality. Must be accurate, detail-oriented and work independently once you have received on-the-job training. Must be flexible, patient and tactful. Must have the ability to professionally interact with a variety of ages and personalities. Must be able to operate basic office equipment, such as a telephone, fax and copy machine.

 

Hours Needed:  Flexible during traditional business hours; seeking a minimum of four to eight hours per week.
