8 Ways to Pay your Utility Bill

Paying utility bills through financial institutions delays posting your payment. Use the City's free Web site, pay by phone, or SUREPAY service for prompt posting to your account.


The SurePay program will automatically deduct your City of Mesa utility payment from the bank account you designate approximately 2 days before your due date. The date your payment will be withdrawn will appear on your utility bill. The proof of payment appears on your bank statement and your next billing statement. Should you wish to cancel your SurePay payment, please do so at least two business days prior to the withdrawal date.


City utility customers now can logon and pay their bill with a credit card or bank draft 24 hours a day. They also can use a credit card or bank draft to pay automatically each billing period. "My Utility Account" is free, and customers can get started by registering here.

Recurring Credit Card

City utility customers may now pay their bill automatically each billing period by activating the recurring credit card feature in the City's online account access page. "My Utility Account" is free, and customers can get started by registering here.

Payment Kiosk

You can pay your City of Mesa utility bill during business hours by utilizing a TIO System Kiosk at participating Circle K stores and at three of the City libraries (Main, Red Mountain and Dobson branches).  It is easy to use, the kiosks accept cash only, and payments are credited to your account in minutes.  It costs only $2 per bill paid at over 100 locations.  The TIO Kiosks allow you to pay many other bills as well in addition to the City of Mesa utility bill.  Kiosk locator


If you choose to mail a check each month, please use the convenient return envelope included in your billing statement. Make sure to include your bill stub when paying by mail for faster, more accurate service. Please do not use tape or staples. Do not mail cash.  Payment address is: City of Mesa, P.O. Drop Box

We have four drop box locations available for our customers' convenience. There are two drop boxes located at 55 N. Center St., (one on the north side of the Municipal Building and one inside the business office that is available during regular business hours), at 6935 E. Decatur St. (East Mesa Service Center) and at 2425 S. Dobson Rd. (in front of the Dobson Ranch Library). Please do not leave cash in the drop boxes.


My Utility Account pay by phone will be unavailable Saturday September 9th from 11am until 9pm due to scheduled maintenance.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

You may pay by check or credit card using our unattended pay-by-phone feature virtually 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 480-644-2221, or toll free 866-406-9659. You can also access your account balance, due date and last payment made through this option. Please have your 12 digit utility account number handy when using these options. Call Center Representatives are available during normal business hours.


In Person

Utility payments can be made in person at one of our two business offices. Our main business office is located at 55 N. Center St. (Municipal Building), Mesa, AZ  85201 - open 7:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, except for City holidays.  Our East Mesa office is located at 6935 E. Decatur St. (East Mesa Service Center), Mesa, AZ 85207 - open 7:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, except for City holidays. We accept cash, checks, money orders and credit cards in our business offices.
