Community Advisory Boards
Community advisory boards are established to open the lines of communication between residents of Mesa and the Police Department, in order to focus on public safety issues and partner with community leaders and stakeholders in developing solutions to multi-faceted community concerns. The advisory boards are critical to the Police Department and its mission. Eleven boards are currently established.
- African American
- Human Rights
- Native American
- Upbeat Aging (formerly Senior)
Each advisory board has their own meeting schedule. There are training and educational opportunities provided to board members in the months we do not have regularly scheduled meetings. To join an advisory board or for more information on their next meeting, please call 480-644-2283.
The Mission of the Community Advisory Boards is to create relationships between the Mesa Police Department and the community, to provide effective avenues of communication for community members, and to address cultural and quality of life issues that transcent ethnic, cultural, religious and geographic barriers to increase the quality of life for all citizens.
