    • Plastic bottles, jugs and jars (milk, peanut butter, soda, water, mustard, shampoo, mouthwash, medicine, lotion, detergent, bleach,etc.)
    • Disposable plastic cups
    • Yogurt, cottage cheese, margarine & whipped topping containers
    •  "Clamshell" food containers (e.g.- berry containers, baked goods, etc.)
    • No Styrofoam, plastic bags or film

Bag and tie wet garbage, grass and animal waste in a plastic bag to keep clean and prevent smelly odors and flies!

Don't put these items in your black barrel:
  • Dirt
  • Hot ashes, cinders, coals or any other burning materials
  • Concrete, plaster or other building materials
  • Motor oil toxic or hazardous material
  • Unwrapped animal waste

OUTSIDE VENDORS

Take these items to be recycled at a participating local retailer (make sure they are clean and dry):
  • Grocery & retail bags
  • Newspaper bags
  • The outer wrapping from napkins, paper towels, bathroom tissue and diapers
  • Bread bags
  • Dry cleaning bags
  • The outer wrapping from bulk beverages (ex. packaging around a case of bottled water)               
  • Produce bags
  • All clean, dry bags labeled #2 or #4
Please DO NOT recycle:
  • Food or cling wrap
  • Prepackaged food bags (including frozen food bags and pre-washed salad bags)
  • Plastic film that has been painted or has excessive glue residue

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE

  • Adhesives
  • Aerosol cans
  • Appliances (limit 2)
  • Automobile tires
  • Batteries
  • Electronics (e.g.- computers, televisions, stereos, VCRs, DVD players, cell phones, etc.)
  • Electric lawnmowers
  • Fireworks, road flares, fusees & small arms ammunition
  • Fluorescent and compact fluorescent light bulbs
  • Gasoline
  • Grill/Camping propane tanks & helium tanks          
  • Motor oil, antifreeze & transmission fluid
  • Paint related materials
  • Pesticides
  • Pool Chemicals
  • Prescription and non-prescription drugs
