Parks, Recreation and Commercial Facilities Department
Sponsorship/Partnership Opportunities

Partnering for Mutual Success!

The City of Mesa Parks, Recreation and Commercial Facilities Department has developed a comprehensive sponsorship marketing program.  The purpose of this program is to provide a valuable return to our sponsors in terms of exposure and advertising, while finding new funding sources to offset budget shortfalls, and maintain or increase service levels.  Your sponsorship dollars provide the opportunity to offer programs and services to our community and make capital improvements that otherwise would not be possible.

With multiple facilities serving diverse populations, there are innumerable opportunities to share your message.

A number of business opportunities exist throughout the Department that create ideal partnerships and offer a high level of return:

Multiple Opportunities Are Available
  Signage   Naming Rights
  Advertising   Vendor Agreements

Sports Complex Opportunities

The City of Mesa Parks and Recreation Department, working with the Mesa Convention and Visitors Bureau, is focused on bringing large sporting events and tournaments to Mesa.  These events, attracting hundreds or thousands of spectators, greatly increase the exposure opportunities for our sponsors.

Signage and naming rights opportunities at various sports complexes throughout the City are being made available.  To find out more about this opportunity, please call 480-644-2178 to speak with a Sponsorship Coordinator.

Signage

With combined uses of more than 3 million annually, the Parks, Recreation and Commercial Facilities Department has a venue to reach your audience.

Signage can be provided alone, or as part of a comprehensive sponsorship package.  Permanent and temporary signage opportunities exist at the Mesa Amphitheatre, Dobson Ranch and Riverview Golf Courses, City parks and ball fields.  Signage can be utilized at sports tournaments, special events and concerts.

Naming Rights

Naming rights provide a company an opportunity to advertise and brand itself, and an outlet in which to showcase its products or services.  The company's exposure is not only to the attendees to that particular venue, but to other visitors to the City, the venue website and more.

The Mesa Amphitheatre is available for a naming rights agreement.  The Amp is visited by more than 60,000 attendees each year, but sits on the Convention Center complex, which draws an additional 250,000 annually.

Trends in naming rights include product sales and sampling, vendor agreements and hospitality opportunities.

Advertising

Direct advertising can be arranged through a number of mediums among the areas of the Department.

Golf course score cards, event tickets, and event programs are just some ways in which advertising can be done.

Vendor Agreements

Exclusive rights to provide a product or service to a captive audience has obvious benefits.  This type of partnership could provide short or long term selling opportunities, targeted locations and demographics and shared benefits of events or promotional opportunities.

Exclusive vendor agreements can be arranged at a number of facilities throughout the Parks, Recreation and Commercial Facilities Department.
