Utilities - Water/Wastewater

When you turn on the faucet in Mesa, you can be assured of safe, clean drinking water.  Mesa relies on three sources of drinking water: Salt and Verde River water from Salt River Project, Colorado River water from the Central Arizona Project, and groundwater from 38 City wells.

Mesa’s wastewater is collected through many miles of sewer lines, and treated at one of three water reclamation plants.  These facilities use various processes to achieve Class A+ standards for reclaimed water.  Reclaimed water can then be used on golf courses, as crop irrigation, recharged back into the ground, or discharged to natural waterways.
