Attention youth!
Are you looking for a way to get involved in
your community this summer? If so,
Mayor Scott Smith has a great opportunity
just for you!
Join us for the 4th annual Mayor’s Youth
Summer of Service (MYSOS). MYSOS, winner of
the 2010
Youth Service
America Harris Wofford Award, is a
series of service-learning projects held
throughout the month of June that are
especially designed for high school teens.
Our goal is to introduce teens to the
variety of service
opportunities available within
their community. We also encourage
them to continue their commitment to
community service throughout the year by
volunteering their time to organizations and
causes they support.
New this year, is the MYSOS Grant Program
where teens can apply for up to $100 to purchase materials
and supplies to complete a service
project within the City of Mesa. More
information about the MYSOS Grant Program
will be posted soon.
