Business Commingled Recycling Program
If you are a business or an organization that
generates a lot of recyclable material, then the
City of Mesa Solid Waste Management Department has
created a program especially for you.
Ninety gallon blue recycling barrels are provided free of charge to
businesses who have City of Mesa commercial refuse
service. Each business
has the option of having their barrel(s) collected once per week or on a call-in
basis.
- Paper - White and pastel colored, computer, printer, or writing
paper, brochures, envelopes with or without plastic windows, file folders,
cardboard tablet backings, paper ream wrappers, direct mail, etc.
- Plastic bottles, jugs & jars - Plastic bottles and jugs that
have a neck smaller than the base or those with a screw top lid like soda
bottles, detergent bottles, and milk jugs.
- Glass - Food and beverage containers only.
- Corrugated cardboard & Chipboard - Food and packaging boxes
(i.e.- cereal boxes, detergent boxes)
- Aluminum & Metal - Food and beverage cans/containers only.
- Newspaper - Including inserts.
- Magazines - Soft cover magazines and catalogs.
- Telephone books
- Paper clips, tape, self-adhesive envelopes, bright/neon colored paper,
food wrappings, paper towels, trash and other non-acceptable items.
Large, metal recycling bins are also available for those organizations that
generate a large amount of a particular recyclable item such as newspaper or
