Next event date: TBD

For alternative shredding options available, please see below.

Event Guidelines:
  • Mesa residents only

  • Material will not be accepted from commercial and small businesses

  • 5 box limit per household please (approx. box size: 12" x 12" x 18")

  • Boxes should be clearly marked (ex.- "For Shred-A-Thon") and accessible so event staff can quickly unload your material for shredding

  • For safety reasons, residents are asked to remain in their vehicles at all times while staff unloads material

  • Due to anticipated volume, material will be secured at collection site and transported to an off-site location at conclusion of event for destruction.  On-site shredding will not be available.

Other shredding options

Many local companies such as Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, OfficeMax and PD Shred offer year-round personal document shredding services for a nominal charge.  The Maricopa County Attorney's Office also periodically hosts document shredding events throughout the Valley.

If you have a personal shredder at home, you may also recycle your shredded paper in the blue recycle barrel by following these simple guidelines.
