Falcon Field Airport Historic Photo Dedication
- Date: 02/25/2019 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Location: Falcon Field Airport - Air Traffic Control Tower
4800 E. Falcon Drive
Mesa, Arizona 85215
A team of experts from across the U.S. worked over a year to transform a three-inch historic photo of 1940's pilot cadet Oswaldo Interiano into a 38-feet high photographic wrap that is being installed on the air traffic control tower at Mesa’s Falcon Field Airport. The photo will be a striking feature to airport visitors and to pilots as they arrive and depart. It is among 10 historic photos installed throughout Falcon Field to honor its past as increasing commerce transforms its future as a regional aerospace business hub.
Airport tenants and the public are invited to a brief ceremony to dedicate the tower photo and celebrate installation of all the historic photos. Static aircraft displays, a fly-over by a historic warbird aircraft, and refreshments will be included.
The air traffic control tower is located adjacent to the airport terminal building. The ceremony will be held on the lawn east of the terminal, on the north side of the tower. Parking is available in front of the airport terminal, then follow the sidewalk on the east side of the terminal to the lawn. Location map.
