Mayor Giles and his co-host Alexa presented Mesa’s healthy economy and track record of results, solutions and success.

Mesa Asian District – More than 70 Asian businesses call this area of west Mesa home along Dobson Road from Main Street to Southern Avenue and beyond. The District is a place to gather, eat, shop and get immersed in the flavors and culture of Asia.

Downtown Mesa – Housing is king in Downtown Mesa with 1,500 new units at The Grove on Main, The GRID and Residences on Main to name a few. New facades on nearly a dozen buildings, ASU, CO+HOOTS at Benedictine University and 12 West are changing the face of Downtown.

Economic Development – Groundbreakings, expansions and grand openings were happening every few weeks throughout the city. Fujifilm, Myndshft, Print.Save.Repeat., Commercial Metals Company, Times Microwave Systems, Able Aerospace Services, The Landing at PMG, Landing 202, Union, SkyBridge, Google and Waymo.

Reliable & Affordable Utilities – New ordinance increases utility assistance fund, reduces fee for fixed income seniors by 30 percent and prevents shot offs during excessive heat warnings.

Autism Certification – Mesa is the first city in the nation to be Autism Certified. This effort lead by VisitMesa ensures that those on the autism spectrum and their families will have a positive experience in Mesa.

MesaNow App – With the new MesaNow app you can pay utility bills, see road restrictions, report an issue, find events and more. Find the MesaNow ap in the App Store or on Google Play. On March 1, many of the MesaNow features will be available on Alexa, including paying your utility bill.
