Arizona law (A.R.S. §9-499.15) requires that government entities provide written notice on their website home page of the proposed new or increased taxes or fees. When the City of Mesa has such a change to report, it will be posted to this page 60 days prior to Council voting on such changes.

 Notice of Intent to change Transaction Privilege (Sales) Tax rate

In accordance with A.R.S. §9-499.15, notice is hereby given that the Mesa City Council will consider increasing the Transaction Privilege (Sales) Tax rate.  The City Council Meeting will be at 5:45 p.m. on December 3, 2018 in the Mesa City Council Chambers located at 57 East 1st Street in Mesa.  A written report that supports the new rate is available on the City of Mesa’s website.

In accordance with A.R.S. §9-499.15, this report is posted regarding a proposed increase to the City of Mesa’s Transaction Privilege (Sales) Tax in Question 2 of the November 6, 2018 General Election.
