The City of Mesa offers free pipeline safety training and education programs that focus on both emergency response and damage prevention.
EMERGENCY RESPONDER TRAINING - FIRE AND POLICE PERSONNEL
This 60-minute training program is specific to Mesa’s natural gas system; where the system is located and how the system is operated. While the training also includes the basics of natural gas, the important message is to improve efficiencies between utilities and local emergency responders/public officials to be better prepared in the event of an emergency. Call 480-644-6423 or email to schedule your training.

This class covers Arizona's Underground Facilities Law, Mesa's requirements, digging safely when working around utilities, and how to react if utilities are damaged.
It is required by the City of Mesa that any person performing excavation, boring, blasting, tunneling and/or backfilling activities within the city limits attend a Damage Prevention class prior to the start of a project. This requirement is good for 12 months after attendance. Call 480-644-5827 or email to schedule your training.
