Bicycle Safety classes are available all year long! Whether you’re new to biking or a pro and just want a refresher, we’ve got you covered. Most classes pop up at Mesa Public Library locations and spots can go fast, so be sure to register early through the library’s calendar.

People Friendly Driver
Curious about how to safely share the road with people on bikes and on foot? This class is for you! We’ll dive into everyday traffic tips, your responsibilities behind the wheel, and how to avoid common crashes or conflicts with cyclists and pedestrians.
You’ll also learn why sharing the road is the safest, and kindest choice for everyone, plus how to navigate bike lanes, crosswalks, and other street designs that help all of us get around safely. Perfect for new drivers, seasoned pros, or anyone who wants to drive with confidence and care!
Recommended for ages 15+
Bike Summer
Summertime in Arizona means warmer weather, extra sunshine and new issues to be aware of when you get on your bike. This class is all about staying safe, cool, and confident while riding all summer long. We’ll share easy tips to help you beat the heat and make the most of your summer rides. Plus, everyone gets FREE safety gear to take home!

Smart Cycling for Older Adults
Whether you’re brand new to biking or just looking for a quick refresher, this class is perfect for you. We’ll share simple, practical tips to help older adults feel confident and safe while riding. From getting your bike ready to navigating the streets with ease, you’ll learn everything you need to start pedaling with peace of mind. Plus, everyone gets a FREE Bicycle Safety Kit that includes a helmet. Let’s get you rolling safely and confidently.
